Butterfly Weed

The Butterfly Weed grows in all of North America. The flowers make a large quanity of necter which attracts butterflies, that is why it is called the Butterfly  Weed. It is a long lived perenial in North America. The germination can take up to thirty to ninety days. germination is how long it takes for the seed of a plant to finally turn into the plant. This flower takes at least two years to grow from a seed. It can grow from one to two feet tall. The flowers petals are a light orange and dark orange mixed in patches. It likes gravely soil and full sun.
